How it works

  1. Activate Specter (toolbar or shortcut).
  2. Hover to highlight an element or drag to select an area.
  3. Click to capture. Press S to save as PNG, or copy to clipboard by default.

All processing is local. Specter never uploads your page or screenshots.

Add Specter to Chrome

Install from the Chrome Web Store (coming soon). For now, you can load it unpacked from your repo.

  1. Go to chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode.
  2. Click Load unpacked and select your Specter folder.
