Specter does not collect or share personal information. There are no analytics, trackers, or telemetry.

How Specter works

• The extension captures the visible tab only when you activate it.
• Image processing (cropping, padding, rounding) occurs locally in your browser.
• Clipboard copy and file downloads are performed on-device.

Permissions rationale

• activeTab: capture the current tab after a user gesture.
• scripting: inject the on-page selection overlay.
• clipboardWrite: copy screenshots when you confirm.
• downloads: save PNG files on request.
• storage: save local preferences (e.g., padding).
